I've been a LHE ring game guy for a long time. But after lurking here quite a bit, thought some SNG's would be a nice way to work out my NL jones with small investments. I've been in the money more often than not (caveat: very small sample size) by being very patient, and playing very tight in the early rounds. Then loosening up later.

I had been card dead in this one the entire time. The pre-flop raise comes from the table maniac, who was blind stealing (and then showing the hands) with trash even in the early stages of the tournament.

So with a short stack, what's the play here? Push over the top, or fold and wait for another opportunity?

Yep, even without a good read like you have I'm shoving this in, you're too short stacked- AQ is a godsend here.

What more are you waiting for? Read or no read, this is a clear push. You want to get everyone else out and go heads up with villain, who is committed to the pot.
