Raising The Limpers

Just been reading lee Jones 3rd edition of Winning Low Limit Hold Em. In his NL SNG Strategy he says you add the limpers to your original raise while a post here said you multiply the total raise of the limpers by two. Which is the best strategy

Whichever is more likely to thin the field. The best strategy is the strategy that puts you in the best position.

general strategy on these forums here is:

open raise to 3xBB and add a BB to each limper

soooooo

two limpers to you with blinds at 50/100, you should raise to 500.

but obviously, other factors matter, but thats standard
