Total newbie to SnGs here after 0.5/1 and 1/2 full and 6max. I played my first one one eurobet 5+1 and won it so I am obviously likeing them.

What is a good book on SnGs? I would ideally like to play party since I have RB there and my bankroll is there too but may also switch to stars. I have searched and think that harrington on holdem is te best for SnGs but also that it isnt applicable to party SnGs. Why/how? would there be something better?

Basically looking for general advice. Have read posts and have learnt that you should be tight early and take advantage of people on the bubble etc.

hoh 1/2 and top are good places to start

this forum is the best resource u can find...start reading this forum every day and post hand histories and u'll learn a ton

poker.wikicities.com (scroll to bottom and click on sngs) is a great resource from this board with links to great threads, software, calculators, etc

read about icm from that page or on this forum...buy sng-analyzer power tools and play with it to get instincts on when to push/fold on the bubble

there are also 2 guides to winning the 10/1 tournies: aleomagus' guide (search for "how to beat 10+1 party") and now andathar has a guide as well...

and...don't play 5/1...20% rake is too much...play the 10/1 on euro/party
