what is a good one? im 20 VP$P 5 PFR. I read that 10% is a good PFR number but I think that might have been for limit. It seems 5% works for me but I was just checking for leaks.

IF 5% works for you, let it be. You can be a winning player with a range pf pre-flop raise from 2%-15% in my opinion. It just depends on your style. Most players probably fall in the 4-10% range, but your style will dictate your rate.

i have a PFR% of around 2.5-3.5, but i play $20NL/PL, and so far i can't see a higher PFR% as being +EV. I've been curious about other SSH twoplustwoers PFR%.

Like the other poster said, it depends - both on your style and the level buyin you're playing.

For most games from 25 - 200NL, I think 4-4.5% is alright, though I'm sure people can win with PFRs as low as 0 and as high as 15 or more, but I don't recommend it.

(I'm talking about full ring as I have very little experience in 6max)

i generally stay around 7% for full ring and 10-15% for 6max.

those are probably the high end of things, i'd say anything 4-7 FR and 5-15 6M is within the normal range of a winning player.

If you think about all the reasons outside of pot equity to make a preflop raise, it's logically necessary to raise more preflop as your opponents get better. So you're absolutely correct, but the difference will be quite small overall.

I hover around 6 percent for full ring at NL25. I imagine this will go up a bit as I continue to move up. But the nature of the stakes I am at now often allows me to limp into the pot more often.

I have 6% for 6max 5c/10c and it works ok. Blind stealing is completely ineffective at these limits, so you can't raise for that reason... which may be why people have higher pfr at higher limits.

I used to be an uber-LAG. I still have LAGgish tendencies but I got my PFR down to less than 10% these days. I made money when I was playing too many pots, over-valuing middle pairs and not playing more conservatively without position but I am playing more consistantly now that I am a little tighter.
