Anyone see Matros' 78s allin call from the BB?

Anyone else make this and why? I think he was getting not quite 2:1 on his money. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

He was getting 37571:62571.. which is 1.66/1

To be chip EV neutral here, he needs to have a pot equity of 37.5%

If we give the Button a raising standard of any Ace.. any pair.. any two broadway/10... he has equity of:

If he thinks the button pushes any two cards.. his equity gets better:

When the blinds are this high, there has to be a HELL of a lot of value in having people scared to attack your BB.. so by these standards his call was easily justified, and from a metagame "leave my ****ing blinds alone" perspective, the call was even better.

I'll just add that the button was a player, not one of the typical "just happy to be here" clowns that populate the end of these things. That was probably the tip factor in my decision to call. Against anyone who's just trying to slide into the next pay increase, it's definitely a fold.
