Two hands here, back to back at the same table in a 22. Im in the middle of a nasty downsizing and trying to find leaks. Both attempts were blind steals that were foiled. Should I not be trying to steal here, and is my play correct otherwise?

On your first hand I would not steal with this hand, and I also would not use 2.25x as a bet amount when stealing.

The 2nd hand I would raise 3xBB and when the guy comes over the top of me I would probably call but it is a close decision. You have already put a lot of chips into the pot and have to call 1500 to win 2500 and still will have chips to play with if you lose. In addition, your frequent blind stealing may mean people are coming over the top of your steals with a wider range of hands, such that your AJ is more likely to be the best hand.

hand 1 I dont like the pussy raise, make it 2.5 or 3x if you are going to steal.

hand 2 You have to raise

I think a raise is correct in both situations. However for the first hand I would raise to 400 and then fold to a reraise, with 30xBB all in for me is out of the question.
