Advanced Hold'em lesson 86, burning off the profit! Two stacks up with no effort. Advancing forward the SPM is in the small blind. He sees an opportunity with pocket rockets...the button and others have called, he raises and all call. The first sign of danger, all call! Need the story be told, when the lowest denominator of luck becomes a winning treat to the survivor. Does anyone care that the all mighty pocket aces crashed and burned? Who was that thief on the button with the suited rags. No matter who it was, now it's time to, Burn off the Profit. This advanced technique could also be called, priming the pump, but it's not. No matter what the next two cards are, it's time to burn off the profit. You can call, you can raise, just as long as you, Burn off the Profit.


This is the time for steaming, releasing all your emotions and running forward like a charging lunatic saying raise it up! Now they will feel the heat of your anger, but they take it like men, because they know you are going to be, Burning off the Profit! Sometimes it's a slow burn other times it just keeps on burning.


In short order the profit is gone and now there's a dent in one of your stacks from home. The steaming time to disaster is eminent. You have now reached Border Town emotions have take hold and you are at the mercy of Lady Luck. Will she let you burn off the profit, or will she come to your rescue. Film at eleven.


Some will say burning off the profit is just another emotional outburst of your frustrations. Your stacks go up and down like a yo-yo. What they don't understand is that when you play in the Valley of Patience for to long, like 20 30 minutes. Then you must burn off the profit once in a while so they know you are an action player. On the third trip to even up a half a stack, you must run to your car immediately other wise when you burn off the profit it will be for keeps.
