I would usually go for a fold here, j10 isnt that impressive, even on a tight table. I maybe wrong though.....

it depends on the table, but I'de assume that its usually +EV

this is a pretty standard fold at the lower levels assuming no reads. at least for me.

If your opponents are calling with middling aces and some suited broadways and almost all pps then pushing it isn't so hot with a bit more than 8xBB on the button.

Frankly, I think a fold is best. If pushing JTo here was good then you can really push almost anything most likely b/c your opponents are being quite tight.

What's the thought process of the donk who figured it was a good idea to call this all-in bet for all his chips with his monster hand of J9s? Or am I giving him too much credit for having a thought process? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

why does it say 100/200 on the top? anyway I think it a fold without reads.

Have I crossed into the Twilight Zone?

This is a clear push, IMO.

Yes, I just said so above. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If we assume the villains are reasonable, it's a push with almost any 2. (I'd be leery of the really stenchy hands though.)

Since this is a 10, I think one should tighten up the push range quite a bit, and I think that TJ is plenty good here.

WTF everyone is saying push now?

you have 8 BB on the button. at lower limits this should be a fold

I'm very surprised to hear this being a fold from most of you. At what point does this become a push? 6bb, 7bb? And at that point does it become push any two on the butotn

Someone plug this into sit-n-go power tools? I was thinking this was a push and not even close, but getting a lot of people saying fold.

Whats wrong with everyone? Am I'm missing something here? You have 4x BB, need the blinds, and are pushing into two similar size stacks. This seems like a very clear push. Yeah its 10+1 but at the bubble even donks tend to tighten up, unless he is a complete retard.

i vote for push

It's confusing the way the HHs are written, sometimes.

The blinds are 50 and 100. You can see that where they actually put the blinds in the pot.

It is a stupid carryover from limit where 100/200 are the betting limits, when the blinds are 50 and 100.

To the OP, I think it is a good post because the answer is "it depends." The depending part being on how tight you read the villians to be. This villian certainly turned out to be loose.

I plugged it into SNGPT. If your opponents have a reasonable calling range this is a push.

66+,ATs+,AJo+ +1.0%
44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+ +0.6%

If they have a range that includes J9s, this is a fold.

22+,A2+,K4o+,K2s+,Q9o+,Q8s+,JTo,J9s+ -0.9%

Everyone is arguing about what the "right" answer is. It depends on what calling range you put your opponents on. Obviously if they called with J9s they had a much bigger range then was proper for a push.

If you are playing w opponents that will call with J9s, then of course its -EV to push. However with something like 600-700 chips you really have no choice.
