The third optical illusion, the color perception (http://www.echalk.co.uk/amusements/OpticalIllusions/colourPerception/colourPerception.html), is simply mind-boggling.

Sorry about the absence of boobies, if that's what you were hoping to see.

The page did not load or you didn't see that they were the same color? It was posted on fark.com, so the site could have hit a traffic spike, but i doubt it at this time of the night

No it loaded. I put the mask over and it looks the same. They both look different. The one on the right looks yellowish and the one on the left looks purple.

try this:

put the mask over it, and also use your hands to block the top and bottom of the mask. it will then work. they are the same color (not a surprise... what dummy would create this site and go through all the trouble and have them not be the same color?)

I had to blow them up, take screen shots, and crop them with the mask on. They really are the same damn color. That is truly amazing.

to me the illusion works - they look a lot more similar in color with the mask than without the mask. i'm not surprised by it though.
but i can still see a slight difference too. it's kind of hard to say it's "the same" when it's not one solid color to begin with. there are many hues in there with varying density.

(i masked it a little tighter since their mask still shows the edge of the surrounding yellow and purple)

still, definitely looks different with mask than without. just saying :P

Yean, they look closer with the mask, but the one on the right still looks more yellow.

Maybe if they oriented the 3D shapes in the same direction it would help the viewer see that they are in fact the same.
