Dumb play. You can accomplish the exact same thing without risking even close to your entire stack. And it's really not worth the risk to try it anyways, especially 4 handed.

one of those you're only going to get called by hands that beat you hands. if you want to bet here, bet the turn.

So wait, you're saying that you'll only be called by someone that can beat 5 high?

The whole point of the hero betting the river is that he is representing a made flush. How does betting the turn with nothing accomplish this?

Do you mean representing a made straight? If so, he can do that on the turn. If he's representing a made flush, he's going to have a hard time convincing anybody since a flush is not possible with this board.

Dumb play in a multi-way pot.

Especially at lower limits.

I think this play might be an option if you're up against 1-2 opponents instead of 4. I really don't like the idea of pushing my whole stack into 4 other players with 5 high. The chance of getting called is just too high.

Risking 775 to win 400 certainly is not dumb. Not sure I would have the stones to makes this play. What's more... I'm definitely not trying this move at the 33s or lower (you're DEFINITELY getting called with a high card King at the 11s and lower).

Does anyone else prefer a push on the turn?
