Tough drop. But remember that you can make twice as much money in as short amount of time. For now take a break, play some video games, anything to take your mind off.

yes, get away from the computer... keeps you from tilting off your BR at 15/30 and it clears your head

I was thinking the same thing... But there are a couple bad things about this one, the main one being the fact that I was intending on raping the friday night crew. Don't you hate that? when you drop a load on a weekend night?

I feel like the fishiest player on the planet when I lose on a weekend night... variance is a bitch... go have a few beers or get some ZzZ's

how so? To be more specific, over my last 2600 hands at 2/4, I have sustained a winrate of -7.70 BB/100 with a 42% win@sd%.

Like losing $300 in two hands at 5/10 against some Megar fish then watching him distribute your money across the table.

And I'm sure others here can easily top my losses.

Let me get an opinion here. I am running just under flat at 2/4 for my first 15k (through my first 8k I was up a grand), and it doesn't seem significantly difficult, but could I be wrong? Would anyone venture to say that it's a challenge to beat if you have no trouble with 1/2? This has to be just bad luck.

I've seen people drop 200 BBs faster. I've also seen bigger BB-wise) downswings.

Yours is pretty bad though.

Good news is:

a) A lot of it is probably variance because
b) 2/4 is not a hard limit and
c) therefore you'll win it back.

Keep playing if you've got the BR.

Hey Buck -
I think I was to your left and on tilt for a little while last night.
I've dropped $250 so far at 2/4, but I'm losing with AA-TT except for QQ. Players seem shitty enough. The actual $ amount is quite significant for me though for the first time.

Well I would start responding to hands and posting hands at SS. Its not as good as it once was, but its still good. Look at for posts by JeffW, Jason_T, sfer, PokerBob, Chief444, Qtip, and some others. Look the archives and learn as much as you can. When you can answer most of the posts in SS with regular ease you'll know that you've gotten better.

Alright, for those of you following my 500$ loss last saturday, tonight I am down 225$ in 300 hands. Over my last 3500 hands (through which I have dropped nearly a grand, I am running with a sent to sd % of 32 and a w$atsd% of 42%. THat's right.... 42%.

This is one fhell of a swing.

Edit: I would also like to add that my % of winning sessions is hovered right around 30%.

Took a shot at 15/30 with a 9K roll, dropped 1600 mostly because of bad luck and partially because of stupid plays. Then moved back down to 5/10 6max and dropped 1200 in my next 1100 hands. Worst weekend of my life. THank god for rakeback
