The BB is slightly loose, normal aggression. He hasn't done anything out of line. MP3 is loose and passive and calls down a lot. Was the flop raise a good idea here to try to knock him out?

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP1 calls, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP3 calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, MP1 folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, MP3 calls, BB calls.

Flop: (13.50 SB) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP3 calls, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (11.25 BB) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP3 folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (17.25 BB) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Final Pot: 19.25 BB

Why did you raise the flop? Besides A /images/graemlins/diamond.gifQ /images/graemlins/diamond.gif BB isn't betting much that you're ahead of.

Normal aggression meaning that he is neither overly aggressive or too passive? Given this information, he almost certainly has a 9.

I'm not so crazy about the flop raise. The pot is inflated enought that MP3 in going to call with pretty much any possibility of winning. It was probably worth the attempt at the free card play (since MP3 would probably check it through on the turn) but backfired when you got 3-bet. Given this guys aggression, I think he has got a very big hand indeed. Might have thought you were betting the diamonds. My thoughts would be AA-JJ. Would he reraise 99, 1010 from the blind? Probably not. Unless this guy is a complete nut I am not sure I raise this turn. It might seem weak, but what does it accomplish? MP3 will fold regardless unless he has you beat or a diamond draw. Either way, your raise is not going to thin the field. Is BB going to fire away when that K hits if he does not have AA or KK? This is a tough hand but I would actually call the turn in this particular hand. The olny way I raise if I think BB will get nuts with a hand like AQ diamonds. He did 3-bet the flop and fire away when the K hit the board. I'd call and avoid being 3-bet here.

You should probably fold to the turn 3-bet since you are either dead or down to just the two remaining kings. There is just about no way that he can have AK here given that he can't be freerolling you, so you will have about 1.5 weighted outs here and you are only getting 16.5:1 to see a river.

I don't really understand the turn raise to begin with though. You are going to be behind fairly often, and those times that you are good, your hand is nearly invincable (other then a flush draw but that isn't going to fold anyway). It looks like an okay time to pay one bet per street and show it down since you want MP3 to pad the pot for you, and he will usually be drawing dead or to just 2 outs.

The only hand he might 3-bet PF that has a 9 is A9s or 99.

I shouldn't have posted the action after my turn raise. Anyway, I agree that I overplayed this.
