View Full Version : Generals of the Hold'em Wars...

11-19-2001, 12:36 PM
Many of the Generals in the Hold'em wars have no military code of honor or even a dress code for their army of warriors. Without these two important disciplines, it takes the wonder, out of the why. Why are they in a rapidly reoccurring chip free fall? Many of these leaders have fallen in battle, statistically cleansed by more rivers, than Carter has little live pills. The Military Code of Justice, will in the long run, punish any General with fuzzy thinking. An inspection of several of the known strategies, tells volumes about the Generals of the Hold'em Wars.

Defender of the Blinds, Sheriff of the steal, General Protect A.T. Allcost in command. Never lost a blind without a fight, never turned a profit. This General feels he is invested in the battle and he will protect even the weakest of his soldiers. He is popular with all 52 of his men. They know he will always lay down all his chips for them.

They come in matching outfits, and General Hey Theylooknice, sends them into battle suited. Big card, little card, as long as their suited they play. A fair man, with a very big clothing allowance. His army has a dress code, but they lack the power to succeed.

General C. A. Picture, has been in and out of therapy for years, he is a neurotic, with troubled hands. His therapist says he washes his hands often so they are always statistically cleansed. But, doesn't understand why they should be suited. He may be a closet nudist!

General Wanabe, would like to be Mayor of Any2card Town. He is a political General, his army is always suited, and the General is connected to insufficient insider information. He didn't run for Mayor in the last election for lack of campaign funds. He may be suited and connected but he's usually in the wrong position at the wrong time. Timing is everything in the political arena.

General Few Outs, will fight to the river no matter what the cost. His big brother General No Outs, has relocated to the Rail. Rumor has it he now sells pencils near the third rail on the Chicago L tracks. Now isn't that shocking!

The Maniac General, never spends any time training his troops. The enlistment officer Captain Dealer sends him new recruits every couple of minutes. Rumor has it he never looks at them just fires the chip gun and they fight without fear. They have won some amazing battles but winning is not what they do best. Film at eleven.

Well you get the picture. There seems to still be a letter shortage at 2+2. So until the next post. Ask yourself, what kind of a General am I?

SPM,...generally confused...
