Playing in my first casino multi tomorrow. While I've played in a great many online multis, I'm sort of jittery about this.

Was wondering if someone could direct me to (I posed a similar question recently in the STT forum) the names of who they would consider the 5 best posters in the MTT forum, so that I can browse their past posts and try and glean some wisdom prior to my tournament tomorrow.

So yeah, just looking for the names of 5 brilliant MTTers that I can leech knowledge from. Thanks a lot =)

I haven't been around the MTT forum too long but...

sirio111*
Greg (FossilMan)
shaniac
iMsolucky0
MLG
jstrassa2*

*...(not 100% sure I got the screen names 100% correct)

What do I need to do to get on your A squad, coach? I haven't actually initiated a real post in awhile - nothing has moved me in terms of being a profound or strategically interesting concept. I just keep getting knocked out of tournies with JJ but don't think that's too earth shattering.

Meh, I don't have that many high content posts at all. The only thing I've done lately is post those hand histories. Look at those /images/graemlins/smile.gif

MLG and Lloyd are the two who consitantly give great advice. Woodguy does some nice analysis. durron is good. I post a lot, but you have to wade through posts about my sex life.

Adanthar & MBE are missing, although their "math-heavy" stuff won't help you for a tourney tommorow, they are invaluable to know so you can look at different situations properly.

If you are going into the archives to learn NLHE strategy, Greg(Fossilman), Ray Zee, Matt Flynn and natedogg are worth more than all the NLHE books out there (except the stuff by Ciaffone and Reuben is required reading)

I am of the opininion that my game grew by leaps and bounds once I was better at "cash" NLHE, which the Mid-High NL forum here is very good.

Then once my cash game was in sync, come here to learn how to apply that knowledge to tourney situations.

edit: when you can tear him away from O8 gergery is very good, and JohnG, when he posts is excellent as well.

Regards,
Woodguy

EmarkM has had a couple fantastic posts, and is a great poster in general. I don't have the links right now since I'm on my laptop, but those couple I'm talking about are must reads.

Where are you EmarkM? Come back to the MTT!

Where can I buy stock in "Durron597 is going to recieve a major bankroll boost when he stops playing SNGs and posting so damn much and starts regularly playing MTTs". Someone with loot should be backing this dude.

My top posters are:

Fossilman (I read him consistently until his WSOP ME win)
Lloyd
Che
Woodguy
Sirio11
MLG
Davidross(he always poses interesting questions)

There are others that are extremely knowledgeable but these are the ones I follow. Oh yeah, M.B.E. is also one I follow even though I don't see him around very often.
