Final Pot: t1025

I have played tight till now. There has been lots of limping with rubbish so thought it likely the raise would take the pot. SB has done nothing stupid so far.

Minimum raise just felt like a monster. Is folding (especially with position on flop) too weak or am I saving myself chips and a difficult decision if an ace flops? Am I making myself vulnerable to future plays?

I don't raise to t300 here, only t250 at most, if I raise, but that's not horrible. Dammit, hate folding AJs 2:1 with position....

You shuold call these min reraises. If an ace comes your hand is usually good because it means they often have KK and will not be able to lay it down, and the price you are getting to find out is quite good. Also there are other good flops for you.

Remember when you are scared that he has a monster, that usually means AA-KK. Thus if an ace flops the chances are very good that you now have the best hand, and having to call just 275 when there is over 1k in the pot, is too tempting to me.

Also note that I wouldn't raise to begin with in a sit and go. I prefer flat calling.

Well if you read someone on a monster because of a min raise, that monster is almost never AK. People don't usually beg for action with AK like the opponent did.

Well Im just going by your read...you were the one who said he had a monster /images/graemlins/smile.gif (And they often do with these min raises, but sometimes its just a really terrible player who doesnt understand that min raising is usually a bad idea).
