am i not correct in thinking that at least one has aa/kk. This might be a standard fold to some. I really didn't like reraising in this spot since i can easily get away from the hand if an a or k hits flop.

I think that this was the equivalent of limping with QQ. Why would you call that pathetic mini raise with this monster hand?

You have to RAISE this to something like 600 to 800 in this spot. As a result of the way you played it you gave the real raiser Homer a chance to put a move on with who knows what kind of hand, but if you had raised 600 to 800 you would know what more of the range of hands.

This would also tell you something about the UoFM hand if he still went all in after the huge raise and reraise behind him..

You might have been way behind but you set yourself up for someone to put a move on you, and you really had no idea where you were at.

Good Fold, Bad play when it was your turn to act.

I'm fine with your just call here, PF. But please tell me you don't plan to fold simply because an A/K flops. As for this action and your action - I think it is about neutral EV. No, they don't always have AA/KK. It would be very easy to see JJ/AK here and TT/JJ or AJ/99 are all also possible. I am perfectly ok with your fold, but calling is alirght too.

i am not intending on folding if an a or k hits if he makes and aggresive lead at the pot then it would be an easy laydown. I had no true reads of these guys either.

Isn't just calling the miniscule raise preflop inviting more and more people to limp along after you? And isn't that what you don't want with a hand like QQ that does not benefit from having more players in the pot?

Don't you want to try and get heads up with just one person with this hand?

It's not that small of a raise, it's 2.25x the BB. That might have been somewhat standard at that table. I call in this situation too, and often (table dependent) dont expect anyone to call. Then raise/push any not hugely scary flop.

Once I know there's gonna be a 3 way flop if I call things get messy. I think arguments could be made either way, but I tip towards calling just b/c hero only has less than 10 BBs after the initial call. I think you have to call if you're trying to make the FT.
