I am getting a new chair, and I'm looking for insight from people who have tried one or both of these chairs.
I did not find past threads on the archive server to be particularly helpful for which one to actually get, most threads just name 3 of them (these 2, plus Aeron).
I'm leaning towards the leapchair right now, because it is supposed to be excellent, but with 8 adjustment knobs/dials/paddles it lacks something in ease of use. The Freedom chair, on the other hand, requires that you only make your initial body-size adjustments, then it will constantly adjust to your movements, like a second spine. This sounds pretty damn cool. It also has some kind of silicone padding that makes it feel like you're sitting on a pile of your own flesh.
Advantages of the Leap are
a) Independently adjustable armrests, which pivot, and are height and width adjustable
b) A Wired magazine author wrote "It's as if I'd suddenly grown an adjustable carapace."
Any insight is appreciated. Price is of no concern. I would be getting the full chairs with headrests.
