View Full Version : Bankroll for 1/2

I am wondering what an apropriate bankroll for 1/2 6max game is. I like to 3 table on UB. I currently play the .5/1 game and my BR is up to 1.5k after starting with 50$, 4 months ago. I dont have pokertracker so im not really sure how many hands i have played or my winrate. I have taken trys at the 1/2 a few times and gotten slapped for 50 or so BBs each time. Is the 1/2 really that much harder than .5/1?
I am very conservative and losing 100$ in a day after it takes me a week to make at .5/1 makes me sick.

is 1.5k a very comfortable BR for 1/2 6max, 3tabling?

if this question has been adressed already, i am sorry. I tried using the search function but it returned no results. I am new to this forum and i dont think i know how to use the search function correctly. If someone could help me with that i would appreciate it.

Yes. 500BB is plenty, 300BB is probably doable.

1.5k is more than enough for 2/4 even. You'll have to get used to the swings, but otherwise you're all set.

Good luck.

I would highly recommend that you buy PokerTracker. It is worth every penny.

$1.5K is easily enough for 1/2 6max at 3 tables.

Just so the OP isn't confused by your response, the number of tables is irrelevant unless total minimum buy-ins exceeded the bankroll -- and that would be a lot of 1/2 tables. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'll echo the others, about your bankroll being sufficient for 1/2. From what I remember of the UB 1/2 game table selection is key, the 6 max at these leveles is pretty juicy.

To do a search put a + in front of the words you want to search for. Run a search over the last year with +bankroll in subject only.

First, your bankroll is now $1445, because you're going to go right out and get PokerTracker, right?

$1.5k is definitely enough for 1/2, and once you feel comfortable, you could even take some shots at 2/4 with that roll.

EDIT: Oh, and make sure you get rakeback before you sign up at Party or a skin.
