3/6 NL party full ring

hero has 600, villain has him covered.

3 limpers, hero limps with 58o on the button.

flop 552, one spade. (~25)
MP2 bets 10, hero calls.

turn 8s. (~45)
MP2 checks, hero bets 30, MP2 calls.

river 6s.
MP2 bets 100, hero moves in for 400 more.

standard?

seems fine (other than I fold preflop).

With 85 here I would raise the flop because your kicker is pretty good against his potential holdings, assuming he has trips or a house (A5, 75, 65, 54, 53, 22). Only vs. A5 and 22 are you behind, and there's a decent chance kicker will play in this situation. I think depending on villain you can fold to a three-bet on the flop or call it and see if he's willing to fire the turn because it's pretty clear that he's willing to put his stack on this hand.

Maybe raising builds the pot pretty quickly, but the people behind you might have gutshots or outside draws (or even bettor might have that) and they're getting a nice price to draw because bettor bet only 10.

Once you get to the turn, your play is standard.

I would raise 200-300 more.

river raise seems a bit large. looks like you might lose a straight. I would make it 300 to go on the river.

I really don't like the idea of raising this on the flop. I'm not looking to get all that much money in until I hit my kicker. I don't want to have to lay this down on the flop and against any decent player if you get a lot of chips in here you'll be behind. Take a turn.

What hands do you put villain on? How many are you ahead of or behind? Which do you think villain would 3 bet on flop?

i feel like any raise here screams a big hand, and he's either paying me off or he isn't. therefore, if he'd call 200, i think he'd call 400. no?

I think your river raise is too big and will fold too many hands too often. I'd like to make a smaller bet here to try to ensure a call.

If you raised it $100, a hand like an overpair might call it. A hand like a straight or a flush might reraise you. That would be nice.
