First I like to point out that the player in PM3 is very LAG.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, BB calls, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, MP3 calls, BB calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP3 calls, BB calls.

Turn: (7.75 BB) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP3 calls, BB calls.

River: (10.75 BB) 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero?</font>

So, am I supposed to bet the river for value or shall I check call?

/Oscar

Easy bet. There is a variety of hands both players could've been calling down with that are calling your river bet.

Bet the river. You have a king-high flush.

I don't see any reason to assume someone has the ace or the four (it's possible, of course, but poker is a gambling game).

If you think the LAG will bluff if checked to, or will bet his A /images/graemlins/club.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif, then I guess a checkraise could be something to consider also. I think I prefer just betting, though.

You have the third nut flush. Not betting would be really bad.

You will get paid off here by any heart for sure, and quite possibly weaker hands as well.

I did bet the river, got raised by MP3, BB folded and I called the raise. MP3 Shows me A /images/graemlins/heart.gifK /images/graemlins/club.gif and takes the pot.

That session was just one of those sessions when you can't win. I looked at my play and thought maybe I should have anticipated being raised on the river.

I'm glad to find comfort in you with my river bet. Thankyou /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nope. You'll win this showdown 80% of the time, but you'll loose it 20% of the time.
