Villian is calling an all-in (no fold button on his version of software). Short stack is pretty short, but not dead yet.

push & turn away (don't look). i really think you have to gamble here. no guarantee shortie won't double through. run the blinds by you...and you're not a lock for 3rd anyway. push it.

for me in that situation, it depends on what the villian has been calling all-in bets with. sounds like he's loose with the all-in calls from your description. if so (meaning, he's calling with Q-J, A-10, A-J, etc.) then I'd push. if he's tight with his all-in bets, then you're only gonna get called if you're beat or in a horse race against A-K. in that case, i'd call, then push if you have an overpair after the flop.

Push and set your sights on first place. Short stack isn't short enough to just lock up third. If shorty had 100 chips, then maybe you could consider a fold - although even then, against an aggressive big stack a push would be fine.

Yeah...i know....
I was just a little irked at myself for not even looking at the small stack till I had pushed. Of course, we know how that turned out....

this is the bubble, your third in chips, Villian knows this and is probably using this information to get you to fold your better hands. You should then push. When he calls he will probably show you Ax or K8+, at which point you will do as others have said and turn away from the moniter /images/graemlins/grin.gif
