Hey,

I'm very new to the premise of bonus whoring and would like to ensure I'm getting the right ideas based on the www.bonuswhores.com (http://www.bonuswhores.com) recommendations--

After a certain amount of hands are played, you clear the bonus and the corresponding amount of bonus goes into your account.

So-- do you play each poker site until your bonus clears, cash out and move on to the next poker room? Or do you stay with the poker sites for as long as you can get more bonuses?

My personal situation: I have $150 I was ready to invest in Party Poker until I was heavily suggested to bonus whore first. According to bonuswhores.com, I should start with Bet365-- do I start there, clear the bonus, move onto the next site and never look back?

Or is it possible to do without whoring-- for instance, depositing $200 into a Party account, playing .50/1 until the roll is up to $600, then moving to $1/2 and so forth.

Being a college student with a part-time job as is, and all of expenses like tuition, car, housing and such covered for, I am no so much concerned with making a particular $x/hr right away. More, I'd like to know that if I play solid poker, I can build my roll from $200 to $600, move up in ranks and move forwards. I understand that whoring makes building a bankroll bigger and faster, but is it doable without?

Thanks.

Deposite, Whore, Leave, Repeat. Simple as I could put it.

I wouldn't start with any of the Party skins until your bankroll is at least $500. only exception might be Eurobet, since their signup deal is only 25% up to $50 (and definitely go through an affiliate if you can).

Bet365 is a nice easy $50 bonus to start with, but it is pretty much a one time deal. after that, you can do Paradise, and then multiple reloads on Absolute. with solid play you should be up to $500 within a few months, if not sooner.

Yeah, my route was similar to this. I had $200 to start though, so I started at Paradise using the bonus code that gives you 50%. Then went to Absolute for their $100 match. Hit bet365 next, and after playing profits and bonuses, I had enough for the party skins...worked out well.

the other poster that said: buy in, clear, withdraw, repeat was right, but here's WHY:

until you reach stakes higher than 2/4 or so, bonuses are far more profitable than most winning play or rakeback... make sure you are always playing for a bonus and you'll be able to pad the initial losses that most players face, or build on your winnings. i lost a lot of money by not whoring for the first several months or so of my poker playing.

you may want to give casino whoring a shot to get your roll started. it's pretty low-risk if you play conservativly, and you can easily build that $150 into $600 or so in a month- that'll let you start out at .50/1 or 1/2 with an adequate roll and get the full party skin bonuses... there would be about a 10% chance of busting, %20 of losing or breaking even, and %70 shot at a lot of profit... those are just estimates, and it depends on your toleraance for risk.

read bonuswhores more. pm me for detailed info if you'd like. i won't spam you.

YUP - they got it right. I made the transition from being a BW to higher levels. There are a lot of sites there. Go down their list and loof for the good $$/hours.

HOWEVER - don't stagnate. I was whoring to long and it stopped me from moving up in limits. Also - check into rake back deals. I do not have one because . .well . .I had all the accounts I could handle and have been doing this for a long time (well, before 2000).

OP sorry I didn't elaborate, I was 4-tabling at the time. bholdr is right. Always play while clearing a bonus. This helped me learn alot b/c I wasn't worried about losing b/c I knew I had the bonus that would off-set any losses that had. There are so many bonuses that you could have thousands in as little as a few months. GL and happy BWing

Okay here is a question i have always wondered....

Can you chase bonuses at sites where you have a rakeback deal?

Is it possible? If not, why not?
How exactly does an affiliate deal work versus a bonus?

Any help would be excellent thanks.

Cheers,

I asked this on the bonuswhores forum and was told no. However, I believe that you can do both at Absolute. It's about step 13 or 14 on the bonuswhore101 guide, right after stars. I was advised to get one rakeback party skin for the future so I got it at Eurobet because they have the smallest bonus. To the original poster, If you're worried about whether you are really beating the game or not just keep good records and/or get pokertracker.
