After the call preflop I knew I was probably in trouble and I needed to get lucky unless he was playing off a big draw hand. I was curious about what you guys thought on the possible hands he had at this point and given my stack size could I have played it any differently? My idea was that he'd be doing this with AJ-AK, any pp 22-AA, 67 78 89 65 9T. Is that range off?

Well, my first suggestion is "don't play A8s UTG", but if you're really feeling the crunch of the increasing blinds and shortening stack and are loosening your requirements, then no, I don't much see you getting away from that flop. (i.e. if you're desperate enough to raise A8s UTG you're probably also desperate enough to go to the felt with TPTK)

I think you are right, I was feeling the crunch of the blinds increasing, but do you think that mindset was justified?
