Villain is loose and very passive.

Seems to me he was calling with low PP or ace high. I don't see how you could've played this any different.

Sorry for posting such a straight forward hand. Once I get more acclimated to 6-max I will try to post more interesting ones (although yesterday's 88 hand got a lot of discussion going) but now I am trying to confirm that plays that seem basic to me in fact are so.

This seemed like a pretty straight forward value betting scenario but I just wanted make sure nobody had a different view. Also, I thought raising A8s UTG in a five-handed game was fine but just wanted confirmation of that as well.

FWIW, villain had Q7o and MHIG.

No problem. Keep posting. It's good to sometimes post basic hands because if you are misplaying them it could be a huge hole.

Yes, you have to keep firing there.

Yes. You wouldn't give up a lot by folding it, but I think it's profitable.

Nice hand.

5 handed that's an easy raise pf.

6 handed I do both, default is raise though. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

First in 5-handed my defaults are 66, A8s, K9s, QTs, JTs, A9, KT, and QJ. No limping.

Seems pretty standard. Not sure what the question is.

My first reaction was "why is he posting such a mundane hand?"

Then I read through the thread and realized it was virtually everyone's reaction.
