PreFlop-
I was planning on limping and seeing a cheap flop since its only level 1. Once someone raised I figured I should put in a healthy raise to see where I stand.

Flop-
I think this is where I messed up. I should have put in a 1\2 pot size raise to knock out anyone who was drawing and also put the 2 callers to a decision.

Turn-
Once that Q hit I thought I was golden. I had put the BB on AA-88, AX and any two face cards. From SB's play I put him on AQ-10Q until he reraised me and put me all in.

Could I have done something different?

raise PF unless your limped utg wanted to limp reraise(which it didnt sound like by your explanation)

I would bet 1/2 the pot on the flop

turn is fine you might want to push because after raising to 500 you are left with very little.

Yup, after going over the hand again I should have made a 3-5x the BB raise PF even though its still level 1. Everyone might have folded but at least I would have still been in the game.

I definetly agree, I should have put in about a 1\2 pot raise.

Wait a minute. No draw that was there on the flop got there on the turn. Did he have a 6?

You played it okay, even if he flopped a straight. I think betting this flop is usually better though, but sometimes I check to mix it up.

Don't be too hard on yourself here. What did he turn over? 86s? Must have been. Or 63s? Anyway, he was a donk playing the come on the big stack. Hope he is at my table next time. I'm sure he is patting himself on the back right now.

Anyway, other than a missed bet on the flop, you played it right the rest of the way. You gotta figure your opponents for A or K. You got the flop you wanted, bet it and especially don't lose to a free over pair.

Otherwise, looks good.

Thnx for the help fellas. I definetly should have raised the flop. The guy turned over Q6o.

So this is a bad beat post..

And what the hell are you on about limping to see a flop cheaply with QQ?? This is so weak-tight. Stop it now.
