I'd consider 3-betting the flop

i like it. You didnt want to "lose any customers" (aka UTG+2) and you didnt need to protect. Then, you have the nut flush and a draw to a royal (bonus!) so keep betting/raising. Dont worry about that J on the river.

about 3-betting, I though about it too with your god draw, but don't you want UTG+2 along for the ride? Why face him with 2-cold? If I had a read and thought he was capable of cold calling, then id 3 bet. Also, would you take a free card on the turn to a blank?

He's getting like 2:20 odds on his call.

I like 3-betting the flop. UTG+2 folding is a little unexpected. The rest is standard even though the board-pair on the river isn't the greatest.

(grunching)

The pre-flop action suggests that MP2 has, at the very least, big cards -- probably a big pocket pair*.

I would be tempted to 3-bet the flop, then take a free card on the turn if a blank falls* as it's unlikely that a pair of queens will win this one unimproved.

The Jack on the river is pretty unfortunate, If you're raised then call and prepare to see a boat. If he just calls this down you're home and dry.

*reads would help here, is MP2 loose? aggressive? an idiot?
