View Full Version : Y'all dislike these "read-dependent" river folds?

The SB is very tight-passive, and hasn't done anything remarkable yet. The button is simply a maniac who raises and reraises with any piece of the board.

The only thing I'd done differently is 3-bet the turn. Well maybe the river. If you're sure he's tight passive like that then its a fold.

you mean 3-bet the flop, right?

Why the flop? We're only going to bloat up the pot holding only overcards that may be dirty.

That should read, "MP2 is a maniac," not the button.

3 betting the turn does seem correct. I was probably waiting for a safe river card, but still should have put in more money with TPTK on this semi-coordinated board.

Ya, guessed that.
And I agree that the turn 3-bet is a must. If SB is indeed on a draw, he isn't paying off on a safe river.

As for the fold, I'd say it's good.

River fold is super easy.
