i've been thinking about this a lot lately...is it worth it?

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero ????

I might be missing something, but you have 0.25BBs in, and BB and MP have each put in 0.5BBs, making the pot 1.25BBs and it costs you 0.25BBs to call.


On another note, you only need to make up 0.75BBs to make this call worth it when you flop a set, and it's easy to make up such a small amount.

5/10 has a 2/5 blind structure. You are calling an extra $3 for the $12 that is already in the pot. So unless BB raises you are getting 4-1 odds.

This is a very easy call preflop.

At the time of your decision there are $12 in the pot, and you must put $3 more (.3BBs) in to complete.

Implied odds are off the chain b/c bet size after your complete is 67% bigger on flop and 233% on the turn and river

The only time I wouldn't complete here is if the BB is prone to raising after such weak action. If the BB is tight then raising becomes an option...
