DrPhysic

It is fun. And since I haven't posted this in a while, here's some promo for new players:

To all the lurkers and newbies out there:

Jump in.

Getting to play against top 2+2 tournament players at a reasonable buy-in one or two times a week is the best education money can buy! You PAY for your poker tuition. I know of nowhere that you can play against consistently good players at such an affordable price.

We want more players. To those who have watched, read, thought about jumping in to play... The Brown Trout games are FUN. They are also a way to learn poker from some of the BEST!

Getting beat by Toro, Patricio, heyrocker, or wayabvpar is a PRIVILEDGE! Because I learn something new every time they do it to me. And once in a long while, I manage to get bragging rights!

Jump in. You will be glad you did.

a quick question for DRphysic, will we have a game analysis after the game is over? if so maybe somethign can be figured out as far as a chat room or something to that sort where everyone can be involved in the same convo, taking turns seeing what is thought about each individuals play. Maybe as you bust out just hang around in the table skin and we can just use that or something. anyway ill try to get stars up and see if i can get my money in by then.

Clearly my level of enthusiasm is embarassing, no one else is signed up yet /images/graemlins/smile.gif. I only went ahead and registered (Atlantic) because I worried about a cap, is there one?

Most people don't sign up until the last minute, in case they can't play. No cap.

The results get posted on this thread after the games. HH posts, commentary on play, another misguided monograph about weak tight Docs, etc are all welcome. I don't do IM but I suppose I could learn if you guys want to set something up. I think stars closes the table pretty soon after the game is over.

Hanging around on the rail and bs'ing with the rest of us is kind of traditional. Watch the play, rofl at the chat line.

Sweet a 2+2 tourney on stars, i have yet to play in one of these. Should be fun.

Probably a stupid question but, is "atlantic" and "pacific" for east and west coast ? or is it just anyone can play in either or both ?

Calling it a "2+2" game is verboten - they are "forum" games.

ok, its ON !!!

I will be making my trout debut today (in both oceans). I have already planned my day out. Copious drinking will be involved before, during, and after those games, so be prepared for a plethora of spite calls, PVSs, bluff calls, and checkraise bluffs.

I will be under the alias of "Heinrichsohn", the donk with the Beeker avatar.
I will finish 1st, or 1st out.

These are MTT's are STT's? NL I take it.

If this is an MTT I'll play tonight, Wed. I usually do a light schedule of a tourney or two and maybe a couple of ring games, so this fits nicely.

DrPhysic
07-27-2005, 10:46 AM
We get anywhere from one to three tables. A two table game lasts about 2 hours. They play just about like a similar size SNG, except that with all 2+2ers we have less dumbski early fallouts so it takes a bit longer than an SNG.

Doc

DrPhysic
07-27-2005, 10:47 AM
These games started a year and a half ago as SNGs. We changed to a private MTT so everybody that wanted in could get a seat early this year. And y they are NLHE.

The "Atlantic" and "Pacific" games are open to anyone of course. They refer only to relative time zones that are easier times for people in those time zone areas.

The "Euro" game was at 4PM EDT which would be 9PM in England and I think an hour later on the continent (at least the closer parts.) It died due to lack of interest in about January of this year. If you have enough people that would be interested in resurrecting the Euro game at perhaps 4PM EDT Wednesdays (or earlier if that is what people want), let me know. It's not hard to schedule and post. We just didn't have enough players.

Get some friends together, either from europe or afternoon US players. I can give you a list to contact of all the people who played on the Europe team in the North America vs Europe Tournaments.

If you want to make this work, I would suggest that you make a post, probably on this thread, with a poll for time/day, asking for responses as to who would be interested, then send pm's to all our previous Euro players.
