View Full Version : 10/20 ... Board double pairs... How terrible is this?

My thinking is that the blind caps PF with a PP better than mine, folds anything with a 7 in it, and checkraises the flop with a queen, so I figure I am ahead of a mid pocket pair or a complete bluff enough of the time to call down.
AQ is definately a hand a donk could cold call 2 and a half on SB with, but I dont see him leading the flop.
Most probable hands are 22-99, or AK/AJ clubs, anyone see it differently?

Although I don't think they are bad, I'd say a fold is better on both the flop and the turn. On the flop, the combination of the pf 3-bettor and the TWO callers out against suggests that you are likely far behind. You're getting great odds, so it's close, but the presence of the redraw makes it a fold.

On the turn, the 3-bettor betting into the field again makes it more likely he has you drawing two outs. The caller in there again suggests that even if you are ahead, you will still lose on the river often. Fold.

Having reached the river, I call as well.

I agree he could cold call with AJ/AK/KJ crubs but they are only 3 possible hands amongst many. I'd put him on a Q and call at 16:1 with implied odds for a very unlikely set.

That's why I hate mid pairs like 88 99 TT /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I fold the turn if I am able to remember that SB bet into 4 players....

Right, sorry. I'm not sure how that changes my feelings on this thread. I guess it would make it slightly more likely that your hand is good, but... eh, I think it's close, but a fold on the turn. For completeness, please post the results.
