You work for the census bereau?

The 100/200 option rocks. I play 5/10 but have 600BB for 10/20. I'm a nit. I'm looking to move up as soon as I feel confident though.

Should be self-evident, i.e., "I have 500 BBs for X" is roughly equal to "I am overrolled for X."

Are you asking what limit we play, or the biggest limit we're over-rolled for?
For instance, Entity is over-rolled for 10/20, but he plays 5/10 (which means he's WAY over-rolled for 5/10).

15/30, but not by much -- so i'm overrolled for 10/20, but between 300 and 400 BBs for 15/30.

600 BB for 15/30...playing 5/10.
I am scurd.

I see that. I'm just wondering exactly what sfer is getting at with this poll, because I find it much more interesting to know which limits people are playing and what they could be playing, as opposed to just knowing what they could be playing.

I am retarded and clicked 10/20 which is what I play instead of 20/40 which is my answer.

When the de facto bankroll response around here is 300BB for a given limit my question and your response don't seem to fall into the realm of "self-eveident".
I'm not ragging on you - just suggesting that you should've included a level of standardization in your poll. I can already see by some of the responses that your results are going to be skewed by different considerations of what overrolled means between poster A and poster B.

Take your bankroll, divide by 500 and fit into whatever limit's big bet comes closest. That's all I want to know.

I honestly think that this is the only thing I'm nitty about.
I understand where you're going with this question, but the wording is poor. For you, 500+ BB is being overrolled, for me it is not. If your bankroll is not replenishable and gets withdrawn from, calling 500 BB 'overrolled' is being extremely short-sighted.

Do I have to start checking SS for awesome threads now? Or at least great references. I think I may need a new home.

FWIW, sfer, I took your advice from the previous poll and moved up limits, deciding that I wish to be a nit no longer. Right now, I am happy I did.
Thanks! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I voted for $5/10 but it would really be about $8/16 since ihave around 800BBs for $5/10 (and I often play lower than that /images/graemlins/confused.gif).

That is true, I wouldn't die. But I value things like eating good food and having cable TV and paying rent pretty highly. Moving down = making less money = having less money = having less of the stuff I mentioned.

I have over 500BB for 5/10 full. But I do not consider myself overrolled; because I am not willing to go broke at 5/10.
A couple weeks ago I had a 500BB downswing which brought me down to 500BB. At that point I decided once I hit between $3500-$4,000 I would move down to 3/6.
So my effective 5/10 bankroll is actually:
(Current roll)-$4000= Effective roll
The reason I am not willing to go broke and utilise my full roll at 5/10, is because I could not easily replace it. I could maybe come up with $500-$750, so I would have to move down to 1/2. It would take me about 2-4 months to rbuild to the 5/10 level.
Whereas with moving down "early", it would only take me 1-2 months to return to a level where I would take another shot.

This seems like an insanely big "downswing." Was there tilt involved?

I put 2/4. But I think it's fair to ask because it's not just the 500 BB's but also what people are willing to risk. If I include my entire bank accout(s) I'm overrolled for way higher (30/60). But I have X amount that I use for poker from which I withdraw periodically and make sure I never have to reload. But I'm assuming you don't want that included even though it's available and not set aside for any one thing in particular and even though a good portion of that came from playing.

Since I refuse to ever let my roll get under 1K I am effectively overolled for 2/4.
