Hey guys I'm looking down at my old New Balances and I realize I need a new pair of shoes/sneakers. Where else would I come for such a decision but OOTia. So I'm looking for something casual, jeans and t-shirt stuff but hopefully something with a little bit of style in it.
I am totally shoe clueless so throw any ideas at me.
Thanks guys.

I've been sporting fluevogs and/or docs since college. Comfy, lots of styles, decent kicks.
Oh, and try the search feature. Shoe recs have been done many times.

You obviously missed the recent discussion in which half of all 00tiots think it's o.k. to wear flip flops to the White House. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Basic Adidas shell tops will do you well. You can wear them with khaki's, jeans, they can look dressy even, and they'll only run you about $45

Doc Martins.
I quite like Vans stuff as well but they have skater connections.

I haven't bought any shoes but Vans for about six years now. Most comfortables shoes I've ever worn.

Are they the slip-on checkerboard ones? Or the lace up ones? I honestly had no idea they even made these anymore.

i've seen these before and find it difficult to believe that people voluntarily purchase them.

Hrm I really like the Wallabee sand suede. I think I'll pick up a pair.
Thanks!
EDIT: Do you recommend the boot or the low?

My last few pairs I had were like this but I got some Nike air max which are so light and comfortable that I realised the vans are not that comfortable by comparison but they are still a decent shoe and better than the pumas someone else posted earlier.
