View Full Version : Some definations

Hi,

I'm new to this poker scene and I've been reading some of the posts, and I would say there's a huge amount of information it would take some time to swallow. So here's some things that I need some help in explaining.

May I know what's the meaning of "2.1BB/100"? It seems to be calculating the win rate, but how do you do that calculation?

What's the meaning of 6max? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks for any help! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

This is average number of big bets won every one-hundred hands. The program Poker Tracker calculates it for you or you can calculate it for yourself as follows. Suppose you are playing 2/4 and have won $338 in 679 hands. Then we have

$338/679 hands = $.49779/hand = $.49779/hand * (1 BB/$4) = .12445 BB/hand = .12445 BB/hand * (100 hands/100 hands) = 12.445 BB/100 hands.

You should probably go to the Beginners forum and research definitions and basic strategy.
