I don't like the check/call on the turn. You either have the best hand, where a free card would be a disaster, or you have the worse hand and with 1 or no outs. Even if your opponent is being overly aggressive its hard for him to raise the turn with a worse hand if you bet. I like a bet/fold on the turn and a bet/fold on the river.

LP1's hands smells heavily of a set. JJ/QQ/AA is also possible. Our effective odds on the turn is something like 5.5:1 so I think we're good enough here. Ugly river and I don't think we can clarkmesiter given our turn check/call.... can we?

I think this is fine. Definitely an interesting hand though. I don't think you can fold the turn HU since he may have 99/JJ/QQ. I'm thinking it's probably a set though. AA is possible too. I saw people slowplay AA preflop about 8 times in the last two days and I've been grateful. Not that AA is good for you. But anyway, I'd check/call there as well.

But when the 9 and fourth spade falls on the river AND he bets I don't think folding is wrong. And I'm pretty sure you were behind before that and I really doubt if he's folding anything better. If you called the river I'd prefer bet/fold but since you folded (and as I said I think correctly) I can't find a reason to bet.

I'm not sure how sissy that is. LP is pretty tight, and if he called two cold he may have made a set on that flop. I couldn't imagine him having A10 and I'm having a really hard time putting him on anything else.

Can this guy really have anything other than AsAx? I mean, lets assume he's at least somehwat reasonable...he can't bet that river with only the 10s, can he?

Well, he could since you raised preflop, capped the flop, but checked the river. He surely realizes that you would likely bet a high spade here. But sure AsAx is a good possibility. Either way I'm sure you were beat.

The stats are over 46 hands so its not so farfetched he doesn't have AA.
