32/45 with an average miss of 81 miles. Getting Andora and San Marino early on sucks.

To those complaining about the small countries, it's a lot tougher to place something like Austria first than it is to place San Marino or Monaco first.

Yeah, putting in the former Soviet satellite nations before putting Russia in to give me a border was really hard.

39/45. And I was able to place Andora w/o any help having Spain or France there already. San Marino is a killer, though.

It actually over-estimates your knowledge too given it gets easier as it goes. If the screen cleared out every time, it would be a more realistic test.

How embarasing, I feel as I'm getting older I'm getting dumber. I just struggled to get 36 right on the Expert US Capitals. When I was 10 I would've gotten all 50 right, no problem.

I also new everything you ever wanted to know about Dinosaurs back than. Today' I'd be hard pressed to name 5 types of Dinosaurs.

I'm off to further embarass myself.

RacersEdge

I just took the palcing off the US States - and struggled.

Most embarassing: I jus realized that Rhode Island is not really an island.

I should get that one back.

33/45 99 miles.

In my defense, the map I used at Winston Churchill HS had no Russia, and none of those eastern European Countries, just the good old USSR. It had no Slovakia, Czech Republic, or Slovakia. It also had two Germanys.

Now, give me a map circa 1980, and I will kick some serious ass.

25/45 and 304 miles, I was SO far off on every tiny country with the exception of Vatican City. I also wasn't really trying that hard so I effed up on a lot of the obvious puzzle pieces.

I still can't believe I missed Iceland.

Hungary is one of the countries I have lived in. I personally thought that San Marino was the hardest. There are no borders to or rivers to use to your advantage. I had a rough idea of where it was and got it close enough for the program to accept my answer. Vatican City suffers from the same problem, but I spent a few weeks in Rome a couple of years ago so I knew almost exactly where Vatican City is.

KDawgCometh
07-25-2005, 12:13 AM
for me what made hungary hard was getting it in the same area of the danube. If I have romania down, then its a snap, but both times I had it early on in the test

42/45 9 miles 300 secs. OK, I'm from Europe. It's not that difficult, you have the shapes. They should do a version, where you have to hit the location without showing the shape. I would have missed 5 more or so.

US, where you have to place them on a map: 47/50, 11miles 350 secs
