Hello everyone, I'm new to both the STT forum and SNGs. I've been lurking a while, and have learned a lot. I'm not doing very well however, and I that I'm making quite a few mistakes and being out played often.
Here's one of many hands that I'm pretty sure I screwed up on:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)
CO (t875)
Button (t1295)
SB (t1460)
BB (t745)
UTG (t475)
UTG+1 (t880)
Hero (t760)
MP2 (t1510)
Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t65</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to t200</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls t135.
Flop: (t422.50) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero pushes all-in, CO calls t560.
Turn: (t982.50) T/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
River: (t982.50) J/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Final Pot: t982.50
This was very early in the tournamnet, so I didn't have any reads on him. I thought it was possible he had AA or KK, but more likely he had AK, AQ or perhaps an underpair. I called with the intention of going all in if there were no A or K on the flop. The flop looked safe so I pushed. What should I have done differently?
