View Full Version : A weird thought about bet/raising

I often get disappointed when I don't get any action on good hands. Well not really disappointed about stealing the pot, but I always have that one in the back of my head 'why don't you do this a whole lot more often!'

Well of course if I'm not stealing enough in a good environment that's one thing, but one big reason I'm not getting calls nearly as often when I bet/raise with big hands pre and postflop is that I'm holding the cards that make valuable hands. When I've got AK I'd love for 'anyaceman' to come after me but it's a lot more likely that other ace isn't out there since I've got it. Ditto for big kings.

It's a serious 'duh' moment, but then I wonder really how much effect it has (I'm not asking, just musing)
