Is this a gigabet type move (though he usually likes to move first, right?), donkdom, and am I missing something? I could not see making this play even with almost a 3:1 chip lead. Anyone else?

Don't read into your opponents play as anything more than "wow, they suck at poker." Trust me, it's +EV, unless you're at the $109s+

Bad generalization, but the early-on big stack is usually a horrible player who will not win.

It smells like a bad beat post, it reads like a bad beat post, yet I don't think it actually is one . . .

Sorry, I'm confused- He sucks at poker and what is +EV (My push or his call)? And then what happens at the 109s- don't push AK or call with 10,8o?

thanks,

yabastid

I swear on my life, this is not a bad beat post. I thought it might come across like it and that is not my intention. Believe me I've had much worse for more $ and not posted it. I could care less about the $20. I really want to know if I am missing something. So do you have anything to add?

Thanks,

yabastid

absni's move is horrible.

This is an anti-gigabet move. It is taking a big risk in order to give up a big lead.

Hahaha, no. I honestly didn't think it was one since I've seen your posts. But I think you give Villain WAY too much credit.

It is +EV to assume your opponents suck

I agree.

And I thought villian's move was standard.
1. he had already invested 50 in the pot
2. you have to take some chances to win
3. probably have somewhat live cards
4. i'm just trying to understand what the hell some of these people are thinking--honestly when I see people go all in or call an all in with crap on like the 8th or 15th hand, I wonder what the hell they have folded in previous hands

hopefully he just clicked the wrong button

I think there are two possible reasons for his call.

1. He just thought, "I've got chips to spare, you wanna gambool, you mofo's, let's gambool!"

2. T8 is his lucky hand.
