Game is pretty tight. Loosest player at the table (no stats on him, and he's not a maniac by any stretch, but looser than the others) raises from EP. late position caller, i call in the BB with 56o, 3 to the flop.

Flop is 623, rainbow. I bet, EP raises, late position folds, I call.

Turn is a K, putting two clubs on board. I check, EP bets, I call.

River is Ac, I check-fold.

"Fancy play syndrome". It's a term invented by Mike Caro meaning that you are trying to be tricky just for the sake of being tricky when you would be better off making the obvious straightforward play.
