I know there's already an AKs hand up on here, but here's one that's been in my mind for a while.

2/5 NL, full table live, no real reads

I'm in EMP with AKs and I open raise for $20. A LP call (cannot get a read) and BB comes along.

Flop is Kc5d3h

I bet $30, LP minraises to $60, BB folds, I minraise to $90, he calls.

Turn is Ad.

I check. LP goes all in for $150 more. I have $180 left. What do I do?

You call and get ready to chop.

Agreed.

...No possible way to fold this IMO. Getting over 3.8-to-1 on your call. You're not drawing dead unless he has AA but expect to at least chop this up. You've shown that you're pretty attached to the hand by 3-bet minraising so if he had a set I think he would have pushed all in.

This looks like an insanely easy call

I think this is an easy call. And you dont have to expect a chop given that this is a live 2-5 nl game.

yuck.
What were you trying to accomplish with your minreraise?

Not sure of stack sizes but I think u should make it 160. This will tell u whether hes got the 555 or 333

Call his push the way u played it

I think any reraise on the flop is bad - Just call his raise.

As played, I'm not getting away from top 2 here unless playing much deeper.

When faced with a minraise, sometimes I like to minraise back for extra info. Like for instance, if he had a set, he'd take his second opportunity to bet and make a bigger raise than the minimum. Because he didn't, I put him on a weaker K than mine.

Of course, I was wrong ... he had A5 and the river was a brick.

Thoughts on my reasoning for my re-min-minraise? It works for me a lot.
