Strange Phone Numbers

I've been getting these incoming calls on my cell phone with really strange numbers. The last few weeks the number has been 555-555-5555 and now today I got one from 666-666-6666. Obviously this is some sort of spoofed number or something. Does anyone know what this is about? Anyone else getting these?

uhh... a friend of mine was getting calls like that a week before he died in a car crash.

Some of the telemarketers have a way of blocking their number from caller ID. It shows up as that instead.
