Wow Jake! Do you just lurk all day waiting to be the one of the first responders? Is there some kind of race we don't know about???

SIRI has great programming for classic rock, NFL & Howard Stern.

I based my decision on which one had the most subscribers / least likely to go bankrupt and make my equipment useless. So I have XM and generally like it. Have never listened to Sirius so can't help you there.

Stern's going to Sirius.

End of Discussion IMO.

Satellite Radio is for people who wear flip flops.
Just get an MP3 player for the music and listen to AM for good talk radio.

Yup - XM all the way /images/graemlins/grin.gif

On a more Sirius note /images/graemlins/tongue.gif I was playing poker with a guy who is a major Sirius stockholder in AC and he told me that he was selling his Sirius shares because they need 300,000 new subscribers just to pay Stern and 200,000 to pay the NFL.

They've got just over 100,000 now.

Sirius stock is considered "over extended" by Wall Street which may explain why it's hovering around 6-8 dollars / share while XM has gone from 6 to over 35 dollars /share.

This looks like Beta vs VHS all over again with Sirius as Beta.

Yeah, except Howard Stern is on BETA.

I don't think you're going to find 300k people who will pay real money to listen to that drivel.

(BTW I listend to Stern when he was first on the air in D.C. - He was funny then - now he's just lame.)

I have XM. The only reason I use is is for the sports news and comedy. The music stations IMO suck.

Does anyone other than the hardcore 16 year-old Stern fan that just thinks cussing is cool even want to hear Stern unleashed w/o FCC standards. I think half his schtick was just pushing the envelope. Now that there's no FCC restrictions on him, well.....
