Tropicana Free Roll Tourny

I got invited to the free roll tourniment at the Trop this coming Monday. I was wondering how many people actually play in the free rolls. It's 7 card stud, and I have never played that in a casino. I am wondering if I should make the trip down there, since I live 2 hrs. away.

If the prize pool is decent it might be worth making the trip. It might turn out that a lot of other players are not great 7stud players. Play online a little to get some practice in.

You MUST be talking about atlantic city! Hell yeah, make the trip. Not so much because it's "worth it" monetarily, because your EV is not going to be super-high. However, I used to play the trop freerolls when I lived near AC, and I have placed in several of them, and heck, it's FUN! Also, in this modern-day world of hold'em, hold'em, hold'em, it never hurts to get a little stud in!

You should not bother, because I am going to be there and I want less competition.

For the record, I am very much hoping for a hold em crowd so that my advanced stud knowledge can lead me in to the money. I think afterwards I am going to check out the new poker room at Harrah's.
