View Full Version : Lost in the time zone of fuzzy thinking...

11-05-2001, 02:39 PM
The clock ticks the seconds turn into minutes, hours, time passes and the point of no return approaches. The Guard of Warning announces in the head of the poker gambler, "you are approaching the danger zone! Please pick up your remaining chips and go to the nearest exit." "I'm okay" replies the poker gambler to himself. His response comes from the corner of Denial and Desire. Only a miracle can save this poor soul from falling off the edge of reason. He is on a collision course to bankroll disaster with no brakes, only a hand full of hopes and dreams. He has been here before, he silently prays for a miracle rush.

You can play in the Valley of Patience, Border Town or Any2card Town, your mind set has little to do with short term results. The cards have no since of justice, no payment for time spent. They are 52 mindless thin rectangular shapes who laugh at numerical equations. You can blame the dealer for your bad luck, you can ask for a scramble, and even ask for deck change. But, in the final analysis there is a point when reason says, it's time to pack it in and head for home.

Unfortunately we are not robots programed to follow commands blindly. Though it surly would be a blessing, when Mr Marathon Man shows up at the casino. We are the biologicals, our computer the brain has no wires, it is a complex chemical environment that is fueled by food and requires rest. Should you bend and stand up to fast sometimes the system gets a little dizzy. Require the system to work for extended periods dulls the response time causing the chemicals to react erratically. Great effort is then required to keep the head straight and up right. Chemicals are liquid and should the head drop a degree in any direction the TILT can mix the wrong chemicals causing fuzzy thinking.
