No doubt.

His some is nothing more then a side-show freak riding the coat-tails of daddy's success.

He needs to be shot.

I'm no fan, but the man does walk around with a hollowed out cane filled with whiskey.

I ain't sayin' no to that.

Ah, screw all you guys! Evel is the MAN.

EVEL: When I climbed into that rocket-cycle, I figured I had about a 50-50 chance of getting out of it alive.

ROME: Wow, that's incredible! You made it a coin flip to live--how could you still go through with it?

EVEL: Do you know who the hell I am?

An even better exchange took place in London. Evel arrives to jump over 19 trucks at Wembley. He arrives in London one week before, and only a few-thousand tickets have been sold. He shifts the hype machine into overdrive, appearing on every tv and radio show he can finagle. It works--Wembley sells out.

Day of the jump, Evel and Frank Gifford (they were friends, and Giff was covering the jump for Wide World of Sports) walk out onto the field at Wembley. Evel looks at the trucks, and says, "I can't jump that far."

Gifford is astonished. "What do you mean, you can't jump that far???"

Knievel responded simply, "I can't jump that far. But it's too late to back out now."

He was right--he couldn't jump that far.
