As great as it is, I doubt there are few under the of 14 that wouldn't hate The Bicycle Thief. The Incredibles, The Iron Giant, Babe, and Matilda would top my list.

The Iron Giant, Babe

These are particularly solid choices, in my opinion. Toy Story and Spirited Away from the original list would be quite good as well. I'm not familiar with several of the originally listed movies, so it's hard for me to judge fully.

Your brainpower is excessively taxed by adding the word "age" where it was obviously left out? I'm sorry to hear that, man.

Yup, it was the lack of "age" that did it. Not the triplicate usage of negatives prefaced by "great."

I only count two (I doubt, wouldn't hate), the great clearly refers to The Bicycle Thief, and I think it's all still understandable.

If he'd phrased it as aren't many, that would be different. This isn't the same thing.

My point is that if we're going to say that "are few" is the same thing as "aren't many" in terms of using negatives, then I might as well point out that "is" = "is not not not not not not" and accuse myself of using a sextuple negative.

Keep fighting the good fight, gumpzilla, but it was an awkwardly worded sentence that was missing a word. Clearly, it needed to be parsed multiple times.

What age do you think is a go for LOTR? Some of that orc and Uruk-hai stuff is pretty intense.

i refuse to live in a world where "Hoosiers" isn't on the list of 50. and if it isn't on the list, i'll pretend it is.

obviously the disney classics, Cassablanca, To Kill a Mockingbird, Harvey, stuff like that to ensure the kid doesn't have a bias against the classics.
