View Full Version : How much tighter do you play tje 3/6 given the 1/3 blind structure?

I feel like since the small blind is 1/3 of the big blind, that I almost play the same as without the blind at all. Given that you're OOP, sometimes I think you're standards should be similar to that of UTG+1. What's people's take on this?

I think you should play considerably looser than you would UTG or UTG+1, for the reason that 4/5ths of your opponents have already acted on their hand. UTG or UTG+1, your risk of being raised is much more real.

When comparing my stats from 1/2 6 max and 3/6, my VP$IP from the small blind is what i would consider significantly less in 3/6 than it is in 1/2. Don't know whether i would blame this on the small blind being 1/3 of the BB, or the fact that I'm a pussy and won't defend my blinds more. Although I am trying to work on loosening up from the SB.
