Has anyone noticed that the angry call (possibily imitating Moneymaker calling Tomer Benevisti at the 2003 final table) is one of the latest trends? Seriously, why are people so angry when calling?

Moneymaker was still pissed that Tomer grabbed the last donut from the breakfast tray.

Maybe they really want a free card and the bettor's denying them.

I was at a table with a guy in an online multi the other night who was getting really frustrated by big bets ahead of him when he was in the pot (and going on about it in the chat). Not sure if he was a ring game player and not comfortable with the escalating blinds of a tourney, or if he was playing a lot of good-but-not-that-good hands where he could lead out but not call, or if he was just one of those people who takes it personally when he's not allowed to be in control.

Whatever the reason, I can see finally breaking and making the angry call...they get the feeling they're being run over and lash back.

Either that or they think you've insulted their manhood and have to prove theirs is bigger. That's probably more the angry re-raise, though.
