Villain here actually wasn't that unknown, but let's supposed he was. What are you doing on the turn and what are you doing on the river?

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 3 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif.
Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.40 SB) A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3.20 BB) 6/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
BB checks... Your turn.

Bet then check behind on the river. Fold if raised. Too drawy of a board to check.

Bet and check behind the river. Fold if checkraised. There are too many gutshots that will peel this flop (and maybe this turn), not to mention the flush draw. Checking this turn is criminal.

If a blank falls on the river and he bets out, are you calling? Could be a busted flush, but the sort of player passive enough to check-call his draw twice usually isn't a bluffer and it could also be a bigger pair than yours that doesn't want to let you check through.

Id bet the turn and fold to a raise
If he calls and checks again on the river I would check it through

the only options are bet-fold, or give up. there are enough gut shots, underpairs that may now fold, flush draws, or plain idiots, that I think you can put in one last bet

I usually will call since it looks so fishy unless I have a read that he's not a bluffer.

I find it pretty far-fetched that he'd check call twice with a draw then bet out on an AKxxx board on the river after he misses

True but it would be kinda weird for him to do that with anything, no?

Yeah I didn't put much thought into that. I guess it should be a fold. Though it will be 6 to 1 by the time he bets and you'll be getting some good info if you keep playing with him for awhile. Eh I'd still probably call.

The main point is it's not going to happen very often and shouldn't deter you at all from betting on the turn which is the important street of this hand.
