I make this kind of play all the time with what I tell myself is the last of my FE, but I think its probably one of my bigger leaks. What do you think?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (7 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Hero (t840)
CO (t338)
Button (t1423)
SB (t787)
BB (t1270)
UTG (t395)
MP1 (t2947)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

I think this is probably a good push, more often than not.

Eek. I'm on the folding side of this, and I think it's pretty clear.

I just ran it through SGA.

Even if CO and SB are on maniac settings, it's a push.

Correction: Both folding and pushing are reasonable with both as maniacs. Move either to "Loose" and it's a push.

ordinarily i think i would muck this hand but since you are pushing into medium-sized stacks i think you have some fold equity so it's a 50/50 push on my part.

What is maniac settings? And what'd you put button and BB on?

Yeah, not looking at other advice first...but I think you've gotta go here. You pay the blinds one more time and you're finished for sure. Here, at least there's a small chance they'll all fold combined with your suckout chances. With seven players still left and you having <5 BB's, I'd say it's go time.

This is borderline for me. I'd push A8o and in rare cases A7o. If the BB would be 200 when it hits me next time I might go lower than that.

Maniacs: 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs
Loose: 44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+
Average: 66+,ATs+,AJo+

I put button and BB on "average."

BB's certainly almost always at least a "loose."

Button can be average, though at the $11, that's not likely either.

CO's pretty desperate, and SB's going to have discount as well, though they may not be "maniacs" yet.

Grrrrr. If they are ALL set to loose, I get "either move is reasonable."

I hereby give up and concede that this is probably 50/50, but I want you to admit it's close.

Come ooooooon. Admit it!
